In the midst of an economic, social, political, health and humanitarian crisis described as the worst crisis in the history of Lebanon, families in distress are left to their own fate. On all levels of their being, children, adolescents and even adults have been affected by the outbreak of COVID19 pandemic and lockdown restrictions but mostly by the blast that occurred on August 4 and the economic crisis leading to severe health impairments hence leaving an entire population shaken to the core.
Stressful life conditions are in fact unbearable for many people; children being the most sensitive to this uncertainty, are still traumatized by the series of unfortunate events. Some of them have been suffering from passivity, helplessness, depression and anxiety triggered by Beirut explosion and the economic crisis.
Despite all the challenges and the daily struggles, Step Together did not quit and found a way to offer home visits to needy families, and provide family support to children and adults affected by the blast. With the help of a resilient team, we assisted parents, teachers and students to overcome the blast and come in terms with what happened in order to continue to remain hopeful.
We do believe after all that we need to have faith and remain hopeful for a Better Tomorrow!
Meanwhile, in order to continue offering support to more families, we need your help and donations.
